Meeting with Entertainment and Media Representatives.

August 28, 2018: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend a dinner meeting with representatives from various entertainment and media related sources in Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat met with Mr. Toshi Tsuboi, Executive Producer for the News Department’s “Ohayo-Nippon” Division of NHK; Mr. Daisuka Iijima, Senior Producer for the News Department’s Production Center of NHK; Mr. Kohei Tsuji, Correspondent for the News Department’s International News Division; Mr. Shuji Yano, Assistant to the Director for the News Department of Fuji Television Network; Mr. Masaomi Miyamoto, Director of Production for Nippon Television Network Corporation; Ms. Lisa Wakabayashi, Caster of “NiTeRe News 24” for Nippon Television Network Corporation; Mr. Haruyasu Ishigami, Attorney at Law for Ishigami Law Office; Mr. Eiichiro Kazui, Attorney at Law for Ishigami Law Office; Hon. Mr. Osamu Miyata, Chairman of the Center for Contemporary Islamic Studies in Japan; Mr. Michio Nozawa, Executive Designer with Aderans Co. Ltd.; H.E. Mr. Zomahoun D.C. Rufin, Chairman of the IFE Foundation International and former Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to Japan; and Mr. Ryuichi Ueki, PR and Chief Advisor for Communications of Star Three Corporation.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed his sincerest thanks to the host of the event for arranging the unique opportunity for this sort of gathering and added his wishes for continued good relations and collaborations among those present well into the future. Moreover, he reiterated his sincerest and most heartfelt thanks on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan to the people and Government of Japan for their benevolent assistance, tireless support, and interest in establishing peace and prosperity for Afghanistan. All of those in attendance met in a very amicable environment and were able to discuss various topics that could potentially serve to help bridge the gap in understanding of Afghanistan’s culture to a Japanese audience.
