Mr. Hamdard participates in the Minato UNESCO Japanese Speech Contest.

December 1, 2018:It was a pleasure for Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard to attend and compete in the Minato UNESCO Japanese Speech Contest at Minato City, at the Life-Long Learning center in Tokyo’s Minato Ward.

The topic of his speech for the contest was “The Memorable Moments of My Time in Japan” in which he also covered the similarities between Japanese culture and Afghan culture. The contest was designed to provide foreign diplomats with an opportunity to present their ideas in Japanese and promote exchanges with local people. During the presentation, the participants delivered speeches in Japanese about topics relevant to their home countries and in Japan. Many offered insights about Japanese culture through diplomat’s eyes.
