Mr. Hamdard Meets with Representative From Asian Development Bank.


January 15, 2019: Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, had the honor of going to the Asian Development Bank offices in Tokyo to meet with Mr. Takashi Matsuo, Representative for the Japanese Representative Office of ADB.

Mr. Hamdard thanked Mr. Matsuo for making time in his schedule to meet with him and congratulated him on the beginning of the New Year 2019, wishing him and all of ADB the best success, prosperity, and peace as they work together this year to achieve many new development goals. Further expressed his appreciation, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the continuous and benevolent support of the ADB over the years in development assistance and infrastructure growth over the years. Also, at this time, Mr. Hamdard submitted to him the Bilateral Meeting Invitation Packet for the upcoming World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. In return, Mr. Matsuo thanked Mr. Hamdard for his kind words, assured him that he would see to it that the packet was forwarded onto the proper persons, and further remarked that the ADB would have much pleasure in continuing to support and help develop all of Asia with a particular focus on the burgeoning economy of Afghanistan.
