Ambassador Fatimie attends reception in honor of National Day of United Arab Emirates, meets H.E. Vice-Min. Hamada

December 4, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and the Ambassadress attended a reception to mark the 41st National Day of the United Arab Emirates at the Imperial Hotel.

Presented with the timely opportunity, Ambassador Fatimie expressed to H.E. Ambassador Saeed Ali Yousef al-Nowais sincerest congratulations on the auspicious occasion. Furthermore, Ambassador Fatimie expressed, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, deepest gratitude for the support that is extended by H.E. Ambassador al-Nowais’ noble nation and by its citizens to Afghan peace and development. Ambassador Fatimie praised the nation as not only an influential member of the OIC and a model for regional development, but also as a nation of true friendship.

Ambassador Fatimie had the distinct pleasure of meeting again with H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Kazuyuki Hamada (pictured above, center, along with Ambassador Fatimie on the left and H.E Ambassador Bujar Dida of the Republic of Albania on the right). Given Dr. Hamada’s personal role in Japanese cooperation with Afghanistan, Ambassador Fatimie firstly praised the comprehensive, life-bettering support that is extended by the Japanese Government and people, and further cited H.E. Dr. Hamada as a key figure within. The two spoke thereafter about a number of areas of mutual interest.

In attendance were a number of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of nations with diplomatic missions in Tokyo and such other key guests as Mr. Nabard Yazdani, a prominent Afghan businessman in Tokyo.

Ambassador Fatimie further had occasion to speak with Mr. Abdulla Mazrouei of Made Man Studios (pictured below), who showed one of his films and spoke on the history and modernization of the United Arab Emirates.
