New Bridge for Baghlan

KABUL, March 19,2009 (Quqnoos): The U.S. has provided funding to construct a crucial bridge in Baghlan province.

The bridge will connect different villages in the province which will totally ease commuting for more than a hunderd thousand locals.

Baghlan’s provincial governor, Akbar Barikzai attended the work-inauguration ceremony to lay-down the foundation stone for the project said, the bridge will be constructed within a year.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held in the provincial center, Pul-e Khumri city, coordinating fundamental projects and absorbing further donations in Baghlan province.

Government officials and donors reviewed the provincial five-year development plan to make sure the plan is being implemented.
